Jerry Rapp

Founder/CEO

“Be Kind Films was born out of an observation of what was needed in these opaque and confusing times. Having spent a lifetime making media, I have been ever-concerned by our numbness as an audience to stress-inducing imagery, frantic edits and violent scenarios. Be Kind’s mission is to create inspiring content that offers alternative viewpoints, celebrating life’s heroic acts that go on all around us in daily life.”

Writer, producer and director Jerry Rapp has been working professionally in the media field since attending the USC School of Cinematic Arts, with an emphasis in screenwriting. His first screenplay was acquired by Imagine Entertainment and led to additional projects with Paramount, Universal, MGM, HBO and others. He has produced television projects with HBO, Showtime, New Line, USA Network and PBS.

Rapp is the founder of Pangea Media Partners, promoting connectivity between creative international entities.

Paul Cannon

Executive Producer

“Storytelling has been a passion of mine for years. Whether it's thr0ough filmography or journalism.  My late mother inspires me to continue this craft, paying it forward through tactful advocacy, and giving those who don't have a platform to voice their stories. My journey through Be Kind has only begun, and I am eager to uncover the truth about the challenges our communities face, as seen through the lens of film.”

Cannon has worked as a professional journalist, producer and entrepreneur since graduating from the esteemed Kansas State University School of Journalism. He has been a reporter at StartLand News with an emphasis on sustainability and LGBTQ rights. Cannon’s credits include the shorts Left Behind, Tender, and The View From Here, as well as the features The Monrovians and Oldies. He is also producing the television series and corresponding album, The Poolies.

Jenny Hahn

Producer

“I have always been moved by the quote from Margaret J. Wheatley: ‘You can’t hate someone whose story you know.’ In a world that is becoming increasingly divisive, it is a radical act to choose kindness over fear or hate. The creation of art - and particularly film - offers a golden opportunity to help shape perceptions and open minds through the sharing of stories and new perspectives, which in turn helps to create a more peaceful and kind world. I’m honored to support this vision through Be Kind Films.”

Visual artist, author and producer Jenny Hahn works to uplift and inspire others, whether through her paintings, teachings, workshops or film collaborations. Since receiving a BFA in illustration from the Kansas City Art Institute, Hahn's creative work has touched multiple industries, including the arts, wellness, publishing and film. She is co-founder of Creative Nectar Studio and Intuitive Art & Alchemy. Hahn’s credits include the shorts The View From Here, They’re Here and Left Behind.
